Impromptu Party

Today Kenny and I went out to Buckeye to visit Barb and Sarah and check out our trailer for next weekend. We all went out to lunch at their favorite Mexican place and did a little shopping. We all tried on these new Sketchers shoes called Shape ups, which are supposed to firm up your muscles, improve your blood flow etc just by walking in them. Pretty interesting... I want some... to bad they are $100! While we were out Michelle called and said she was going to bring the kids out to visit Sarah... ummm we totally had to wait for them to come out so we could see the babies! SO Sarah and Barb decided to have an impromptu Super Bowl Party! I of course took about 100 pictures... here are my favorites... (again in no order because I cannot figure out how to arrange them!)

Matt's little fingers!
Ah Emma's long little fingers!

Snow

I have been wanting to take the boys up to the snow and this was the weekend we could finally do it! Friday night I picked the boys up after work and boy were they excited! Friday evening we played at the park, visited my mom, went to Chipotle for dinner, made a quick trip to Wal-mart and watch Transformers. The whole time all the boys wanted to do was hang out at our house. It always amazes me how we try to make all these big plans for them and they are happiest with the simple things. They just want to be with us.

We had the boys sleep in the living room slumber party style and I slept on the couch next to them. I think they liked that, but I won't do it again... I barely slept all night! Every time one of the boys would roll over the dogs would bark at them. Plus our clock went off at the top of every hour...

Anyway, Saturday morning we got up bright and early and headed up to Flagstaff for our snow day. When Little Brian woke up I asked him how he slept and he said "good, but I had a bad dream" I said "oh, no what was it about?" he replied "dinosaurs". That is it. So cute. The boys were SO SO good on the road trip. They never complained about the length of the trip they just talked to us and each other, played, ate snacks etc the whole time.

When we got to a snow play area they could barely contain themselves while we put on their coats and gloves etc. They squealed with delight and played for about 10 mins... then the fun faded and the cold and wet of the snow sunk in... they got very cranky (which is NOT like them at all). We weren't really prepared with the right snow clothes and the snow was SO deep. When Ken and I would step it went clear up to my thigh. The boys kept falling in little snow holes and it was impossible to move around. SO we left... 5 hours of driving for 30 mins in the snow. OH well I would still do it all over and because we had a lot of fun with the 1 on 1 time in the car- on TV, nothing to distract them. The slept most of the way back.

They didn't want to go home... so heartbreaking. Those boys are so wonderful to be around. They make me laugh and they are so sweet, caring and well behaved. I cannot wait for their next sleepover at "ant ananda's (Aunt Amanda's) and Kenny's house"

Here are the few pictures I took... not in any order because I cannot seem to get them in the correct order...

The Twins

Some information from Michelle on the babies -

hi all,
just wanted to share the latest on the twins. they did an ECHO test on matt that came back negative for any heart problems thank god! and they both are completely off the oxygen. matt isnt as congested as emma but after speaking to the nurse this morning matt still continues to be having the brady episodes. he had 7 last night that lasted about 15 seconds each but he did recoop on his own they didnt have to resesitate. im going to find out more about this issue when i go to the hospital this aftenoon and speak to the doctor. the one good thing is they put them in the same room and their "will" to try and fight this RSV completely changed. they are both more allert and eating better. i said from day one that if you put them together they will do better. matt has always responded to emma. if she cries he will wake up and he will start fussing until she calms down. and then hes fine again. twins have a way of knowing when somethings not right with eachother and i think if this is a pattern little miss emma between daddy zack and matt will be very protected her whole life!!! well zack just woke up so time to start another day love you all hugs xoxoxox chel

hey all,
just about the time you don't think things can get worse...they can!!! Emma is doing the same. not better but not worse so we are praying she will start getting better soon!! shes still on oxygen but eating well and nothing has spread to her lungs.THANK GOD!! Matt on the other hand isn't doing so well. as you know they did the EKG and it came back ok but today he started having more Brady episodes and they had to resuscitate twice. they did an echo test tonight and should have those results back in the morning after to cardiologist reads them. i cant thank you all enough for your prayers and concern. i ask that you please keep praying that they are back home with us soon. both healthy and doing well! please pray for Zack as well. hes doing very well learning where his eyes , ears, and nose are lol but poor thing is so confused. he keep looking in there crib daily and then looks at me like "hey mom...where did those tiny people go?" lol i don't quite know how much more i can handle. between lack of sleep and stress build up im starting to lose it!!! speaking of sleep I'm gonna end here and try to get some sleep!!! love you all and thank you again hugs and kisses chel

hello all
just wanted to update you on the progress of matt and emma. they are both holding there own. both are still on oxygen but they are lowering the amount of oxygen daily to try and ween them from it slowing. emma is a little worse than matt when it comes to the RSV virus itself. she has alot more mucus and secretions build up and they and trying to clear that as much as possible but she is eating well and holding down her food. matt however was having what they call "brady episodes" which is irregular heart rythems they did an EKG tonight and the senior cardiologist will read it in the morning and they'll let us know

A Beautiful Sunday

Last Sunday was just beautiful... we slept in and then worked on the yard. I found tons of these peas in the garden. We had them with lunch and I swear they were the best we ever had!
Also, got this nice head of broccoli. We had my parents over for lunch and ate this with some fish and potatoes.
After lunch my mom and I joined the guys on the golf course. No we didn't play we just followed them in our own golf cart and enjoyed the nice weather and beautiful surroundings.
doesn't seem like Arizona!

Thank Yous

Last week I was out of the office most of the week. While I was working I wasn't doing the work I normally do... but the work was still building up for me to do when I got back (don't you love that?). Anyway, I have two really sweet ladies who chipped in (when they didn't have to) to make coming back less of a nightmare for me. SO I made them these goodies with Giant candy bars... just for fun. I couldn't find a mounds giant candy bar so I just bought 3 of them and taped em together :)

Zack

So... Kenny got an idea to kidnap Zack for a little bit to help out Michelle and Trevor, while the twins are in the hospital (more on that later). So we took Zack to Little Brian's b-day party. This was the first time we have taken Zack on our own and I don't think it could have gone any better. He was full of smiles, happy and he is so stinkin' smart. I took so many pictures of Zack I wanted to post them separate so as not to take away from Little Brian's party.

CA Trip

Wednesday I drove with my boss to California for a few days. Our main goal was to visit a few Concrete precast companies at an agents request, visit a few agents and for my boss to do his management duties in our CA office. I won't bore you with the details, but here are a few pictures I took while we were running around. I learned more than I ever thought I would need to know about precast products. It was a productive trip and I was SO glad to be home even if I didn't get home until 8 PM Friday night!!
This is the view from my hotel room the first night... needless to say I didn't get much sleep that night...

Valentine Boy!

The local Quilt Store put on another fabric challenge and this is what I came up with. The pattern is just a free coloring sheet (like the kind you color with crayons for kids) I found on the Internet. I liked it because the messy hair reminds me of my little nephew Jacob. The large heart fabric was the challenge and I used a lot of it! There are 5 entries and 3 prizes so wish me luck!
