A little of this and a little of that

Hi Everyone!

How have the past few weeks been for everyone? We celebrated our fourth wedding anniversary on January 4th. We marked the occasion by going out to dinner. Kenny got to choose the restaurant this year and he choose Carlos O Brian's ( Mexican food). It was a great meal followed by fried ice cream (my favorite).

Then on January 11th Jacob Taylor was born! He is such a sweet little boy. I got a chance to spend last Saturday morning with him and loved every minute. Okay I know, I know inquiring minds want to know, so when are Kenny and I planning on having a baby? We are very much ready for our own little one and just waiting to be blessed with one! :-)

One January 14th we celebrated my grandma's 72nd b-day at Applebees. Her b-day is actually the 17th, but we just celebrated is early.

Well, that catches us up to this past weekend. I have been working flex hours so I was off on Friday. I went out to the quilt show at the Arizona State Fair grounds. It was such a blast! There were two buildings full of crafting things. Everything from scrapbooking to quilting. Friday night we went out to Olive garden for dinner and did some shopping. Saturday I stayed home and studied and sewed and Kenny went out to visit with his grandparents and his mom and Dave. We all met up for dinner at their favorite Mexican restaurant. Sunday we bummed around with my parents a little bit and ran errands. My mom got a new sewing table and Kenny put that together for her. We stayed for dinner then headed home.

Well, everyone have a great week and we hope to hear from you!

Love,
Amanda and Kenny

Happy New Year!

Well, happy new year everyone!

Here is what we have been up to:

Saturday, Kenny went to his mom and Dave's house to help out with finishing up the car. Kenny just loves working on cars so this was a great opportunity to learn some new things. Dave showed him how to "bleed the brakes" and he thought that was really neat. He got to spend the day out there and was glad to have some time with everyone. Also, Barb made her famous homemade Pizza and he was thrilled with that. I stayed home and studied for my test coming up at the end of the month. Also, I went to my Bernina Club (a quilting class) for a couple hours. Saturday night we actually went on a date! We went to the movies and saw "A Night at the Museum" It was adorable! We really enjoyed it and would recommend it if you are looking for a movie to go see.

Sunday we just did the house cleaning, laundry etc. Also, Kenny cleaned out our garage so we can park both cars in there now. We got used to having just one car that the ATCs, tools and junk got piled on the other side.... It is nice to start off the new year with a nice clean garage. That evening we went to my parents house for pizza and wings and played some games. We went home about 10 so we could make sure all the dogs were in safe and sound before midnight.

Monday, we spend a lot of the day running around. I purchased a small desk and a new twin bed frame on Craig's list but we had to drive out to Tempe to get it. I am still working on fixing up my "pink" room and was glad to find these two items! Then we drove on to Scottsdale to looks at a car. The car was a prospect " fixer upper project car" for Kenny. Then we tried to find a new quilt shop in Fountain Hills with no luck. After the long drive we stayed home most of the afternoon, just puttsin' around. Kenny fixed our vacuum and I read. That was pretty much how we spend the first day of 2007! How did you?

Again Happy New Year to everyone! and best wishes
