Tricks

Many people may look at these shock collars and think we are horrible dog owners for using them on our dogs... but really we felt like we didn't have a choice. The neighbors went to the city and complained... and really our dogs do love to bark... Anyway, we have been using them for a while now and to be honest they don't even work anymore! The batteries are out and one of them isn't even a shock collar it just makes noise, but when the dogs wear them they don't bark ! Sometimes we have to play some tricks on our pups... They seem to follow our body language and know when we are leaving and they all run outside to avoid the collars (we still put them on them!). So we have to block the door or run to beat them to the door.

Anyway, that is not what I wanted to talk about. Shelby is our 3 year old black lab... she is pretty smart but easy to trick. Kenny is in Vegas this week so I have to put the collars on the dogs. Kenny always tells me I better do it ( I have been known to "forget" often when he is not around), because he doesn't want to be the only bad guy. For Shelby all I have to do it pretend to put the collar on her and she will not bark... it is pretty amazing.

Another trick we play on Shelby is when Kenny is packing for Vegas we can't let her see Kenny's suit case because she gets really sad. I am serious it is insane how much she misses him!
